The Most Beautiful Beaches in the World: Check out some of the prettiest places on our planet; amazing summer destinations for your perfect vacation.

People have their own view of what they want in a beach, whether it be convenience, seclusion, swimming, or people-watching. These are suggestions of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Chose a destination, or take a cruise or chartered luxury yacht to take in several at once.

The Baths on Virgin Gorda, BVI
The Baths is a beach on the island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. It is a popular tourist destination due to the large volcanic boulders piled up on the beach. The boulders form scenic grottoes and tunnels that are open to the sea. The Baths was declared a BVI National Park in 1990.

Magens Bay, St. Thomas, USVI
Magens Bay is a popular tourist beach on the island of Saint Thomas in the US Virgin islands. Magens Bay has been included on several “Best Beaches” lists over the years, due to its mile-long white sand beach and sparkling blue water in the sheltered bay.

Waimea Bay, Oahu, Hawaii
Waimea Bay is located on the north shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Waimea Bay became popular through the expansion of surf culture and surf music in the early 1960s. It hosts big-wave surf competitions when large waves arrive during the Winter, created by ocean storms in the North Pacific. Waimea Bay was also one of the filming locations for the popular TV show ‘Lost’

White Beach, Boracay, Phillippines
In 2007, Boracay island was ‘World’s Most Popular Beach’ according to Yahoo! Travel. Boracay is an island about 200 miles south of Manila. It was relatively unknown until the 1970s but has become a popular tourist destation since then. White Beach is the main tourist beach and has resorts and restaurants. The main part of the beach is separated from the hotels by a green zone of trees and vegatation, contributing to a more secluded feel.

Praslin, Seychelles
Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. It was also a hideaway for pirates during the 1700s and was originally named the Isle de Palmes. The island is a popular tourist destination due to beautiful beaches such as Anse Lazio. It also has tropical forests with beautiful and unique wildlife.

Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda
Horseshoe Bay has a beautiful wide beach with pink-tinted sand. It lies on the south of the island in Southampton. Bermuda in general has very fine beaches. The pink-tinted sand comes from the tiny bits of coral in its make up. Another pretty pink-sanded Bermuda beach is Astwood Beach.

The Maldives
The Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean made up of 26 atolls spread over 90,00 square kilometers. You can have your pick of hundreds of small tropical island beaches and any one would be a gem. I would vote for a beach in the Maldives as the place I would pick to be marooned just based on beach beauty alone.

The Greek Islands
Too numerous to name, the Greek Islands boost literally hundreds of stunning cove beaches, both large and small. Greek Island yacht charters are the best way to visit the lovely beaches of the Greek Islands, allowing you to see and experience severaal beaches in one day.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Bora Bora consists of an island with a lagoon and surrounding atoll that covers 11 square miles. It is primarily dependent on tourism for its livelihood. The signature feature of many of the resorts in Bora Bora are overwater bungalows on stilts.

Orient Bay, St. Martin
On the French or north side of the island of Saint Martin is Orient Bay with its long curving beach, said by many to be among one of the nicest in the Caribbean. The south end of the beach is also one of the most popular nude beaches in the Caribbean. If you are visiting, you may also want to visit Maho Beach on the south or Dutch side, where international flights pass feet overhead to land on the runway across the street.

I hope you will find a favorite beach or two on this list to add to your travel plans.
